“Elif is a great flatmate. I lived for 8 months in her flat until I left the country. I loved to hang out with her, because she is funny and entertaining. And about living together: No fights, no arguments! She is, as she likes to say, “solution based.” And that creates a very good atmosphere in the appartement!”

Sometimes I discover interesting animals at home. No, I am not talking about the cat. It was huge, green and it did not have a very long life … they call me George, the dragon slayer.

Datafobik and me moved from the Asian side of Istanbul (Kadiköy) to Cihangir, which is on the European side. That is a very uncommon thing for an Erasmus student like me. Actually Erasmus students have to change their rooms, flats or holes in which they are living in quite often because of disgusting flatowners or money problems (and there are lot more of unbelievable stories which I do not want to mention here). In my case, datafobik wanted to move and I just went with her like all the furnitures and stuff in our flat. That’s something special!

Carbon, our horny house-cat. She crew up with humans and therefore has no clue about her real “catty” existence. That means, she wants me to be her cat-husband - or so, from time to time. I hope we’ll find a solution (e.g. an other cat) soon … :)

First efforts to assimilate to Turkish culture …
